I've moved!

Kellypuffs is moving! You can now find me over at Wordpress: http://kellypuffs.wordpress.com/

Change your bookmarks, change your feeds.

Sadly, there's no easy way to import from Blogger beta to WordPress at the moment, so I'll keep the Blogger blogs active for reference until such time as I can port them over to WordPress.

See you on the other side! :-)

Nothing a little good Indian food won't cure

It's been a quiet week at the Kellypuffs' household.

The girl, in spite of a miserable cold that leaves her a lethargic, hacking grumblefish the rest of the time, has managed to play Powder-Puff Football after school each day this week.

There are Weird Fireman Rituals occurring nightly behind the firehouse, requiring cars parked end-to-end in the street, stadium lighting, many men in full fire-fighting regalia, and much shouting and activity in the early evening hours. I'd investigate further, but I'm just a little afraid.

I've had a week of doctor appointments while they try to figure out why I'm so exhausted that I spend the majority of my weekend hours sleeping.

On top of that, it's rained every day this week (although I'm not complaining about the almost-70-degree temps in November.)

So we treated ourselves to Indian take-out tonight: chicken korma, basmati rice, naan, and vegetable pakora.

mmmm.

One blog or two?

I'm tired of being schizophrenic.

No, I'm not.

Ok, I'll admit it ... I'm torn.

When I started the blogging schtick, it made sense in my weird little bubble to have two blogs: one for the work/technology side of Kellypuffs, and the other for the family, house, quilting, etc - the "softer side of Kelly".

I carried it through into other web 2.0 stuff ... I have two del.icio.us accounts for bookmarking, again along the same boundaries, and two LibraryThings. Gets to be a royal pain in the ass when I go to bookmark something, and, dollars to donuts, I'm logged into the wrong account. grrr.

I have one FeedBurner account, but it often gets confused over which blog to feed.

I've read lots of blogging advice on the web, most of which seems to say "stick to one subject in your blog", but the only opinion I care about is that of my readers.

So, what say you, readers? One blog or two?

this is an EX-iPod

Ask me if I'm buying the girl another one anytime soon.

Go ahead ... ask me!

The kitten, sitting patiently in the kitchen sink, waiting for someone to turn the faucet on for her morning drink.

She prefers her water running, thank you very much.

pizza! pizza! stomp! stomp!

You'd think, if you give a local small town company your business day in and day out, rely on them to provide you and your small children dinner, oh, two or three times a week or so, they'd give you the common courtesy of calling you if they are going to close early for some spurious excuse like getting new electrical service. At the very least.

You'd think, wouldn't you?

Good thing I got my pizza before the Littleton Sub Shop closed early tonight.

B Street Blues this Wednesday at the Sky Bar

Just a quick note to let you know that the B Street Blues, an awesome local blues band fronted by IBMer and all-around great guy Norm Tiedemann, will be playing the Sky Bar in Somerville, MA on Nov 15. Come on out and support your local musicians!

xmas teaser

An example of the 2006 Kellypuffs Christmas Card collection.

No two are alike.

Which one will YOU get?

fini!

Yay! Cross another unfinished project off the list!

Last weekend, I finished hand-quilting this vintage quilt top I found at a local consignment shop. I then washed and dried it, which gave it the puckered, aged look I so love.

And so she swears not to start another new project, but to work on the still large pile of UFOs.

But there's that really cute pincushion I'd like to make....
